Spółdzielnia Mleczarska Ryki

Wednesday, 21 October, 2026
Based in Ryki, in Poland’s Lublin region, SM Ryki celebrates 100 years of cheesemaking in 2026. Today, it is a respected regional producer with a nationwide reputation, specialising in matured cheeses and producing approximately 45 tonnes every day.
Its best-known product, Rycki Edam, has become a recognised symbol of Polish cheesemaking quality. Yet tradition at SM Ryki has never meant standing still. Working with milk from local farmers, the dairy continually develops products that respond to changing consumer needs.

These include Active Protein Plus, a matured cheese enriched with whey protein, and KremSer, an original spreadable cheese made without artificial emulsifying salts.

SM Ryki was also the first dairy in Poland to introduce an innovative brine purification system. The technology supports consistently high production standards while reducing the use of water and chemicals, bringing together quality, efficiency and greater environmental responsibility.
