Food From Poland 49/2026
An interview with Andrzej Krzysztof Miranowicz, PhD, Eng., President of the Management Board of Stovit Group Sp. z o.o. and Mühlhäuser GmbH, which together form the international structure of the Helios Group.
SIAL is one of the most important events in the global food industry. What does participation in the trade show mean for Stovit Group?
For us, SIAL is first and foremost an opportunity to showcase the Stovit Group’s potential on the international stage and to meet directly with current and potential business partners. It’s a place where producers, retail chains, and distributors from around the world come together.
We want to show that a Polish company can be not only a producer of high-quality fruit preserves but also a flexible partner for international clients.
What innovations and products do you particularly want to showcase at SIAL?
One of our key areas of focus is the development of premium jams containing 100% fruit, prepared in unique and intriguing flavor combinations. An example is our mango jam with fruit chunks, which responds to growing consumer interest in exotic flavors and products with a distinctive texture.
We are also developing a line of jams sweetened with xylitol, featuring unexpected flavor combinations, such as kiwi with pear. These products are aimed at consumers seeking alternatives to traditionally sweetened preserves.
We are the only manufacturer of this line of jams recommended by the Polish Diabetes Association. For us, this is an important confirmation of quality and a response to the needs of consumers who pay particular attention to how they compose their diets.
What trends are particularly noticeable in European markets right now?
There is growing interest in natural ingredients, simple ingredient lists, high fruit content, and products that address specific consumer needs. At the same time, consumers are increasingly seeking new taste experiences.
That is why we are expanding our portfolio in two directions: on the one hand, we offer premium products with a very high fruit content; on the other, we provide solutions tailored to the needs of those seeking products sweetened with alternative sweeteners.
This combination of tradition and innovation is one of the themes we want to highlight at SIAL. Stovit has nearly 50 years of experience, and thanks to our collaboration within the Helios Group, we also benefit from Mühlhäuser’s tradition spanning over 120 years.
How important is collaboration with international chains and partners for the Stovit Group?
The European market is highly diverse, which is why flexibility is key. Individual countries differ in taste preferences, product formats, and packaging expectations.
The Stovit Group provides an important production and logistics base, while our collaboration with Mühlhäuser and Glück allows us to draw on experience from various markets and develop both mass-market products and premium-segment offerings.
An example of synergy within the group is Mühlhäuser’s fruit preserves, which are now also available in Poland at major retail chains.
Is sustainability also an important element of the group’s strategy?
Yes. We focus on reducing energy and water consumption, minimizing waste, and seeking more efficient production and packaging solutions.
The exchange of experiences among Helios Group companies allows us to benefit from solutions implemented in various European markets. One example is Iberfruta, where photovoltaic systems are used, and production relies on energy derived almost 100% from renewable sources.
What are the Stovit Group’s main objectives regarding its presence at SIAL?
First and foremost, we want to develop business relationships and expand our export activities. SIAL gives us the opportunity to showcase not only specific products but also our capabilities as a partner – from production and technology, through recipe development, to the preparation of products tailored to the specific characteristics of individual markets.
We want to demonstrate that the Polish fruit processing industry can effectively combine experience and tradition with innovative recipes and respond to the changing needs of consumers in international markets.
